About Me
Welcome! I am so glad you are here!
My name is Abby Ross and I am the face behind the scenes at Northwest Myofunctional Therapy LLC. I have my bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine and dental hygiene. I am a registered dental hygienist and a certified orofacial myofunctional therapist.
Working as a dental hygienist, I see undiagnosed orofacial disorders everyday. From children with underdeveloped jaws to adults with sleep apnea, I began to see a need in my local communities. With limited options or access to care, most people do not know where to seek help from or had been told it was “normal” when they did.
I am here to say that that does not have to be you or your kid. Normal and common are NOT the same thing. Trust your intuition and find out if myofunctional therapy is the solution you have been looking for.

Recognizing the need for Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy in adults involves paying attention to a range of subtle yet impactful symptoms. Persistent headaches, particularly those stemming from tension in the jaw and face, may indicate the need for intervention. Additionally, frequent neck and shoulder pain, along with unexplained dental issues such as grinding or clenching, are signals that the orofacial muscles may not be functioning optimally. Observing changes in facial aesthetics, like a receding chin or misaligned bite, can also point to underlying myofunctional issues. Sleep issues of any kind, including but not limited to sleep apnea diagnosis, restless sleep, frequent wakings, grinding/clenching and snoring.
